Hi All

I hope you are all well, I am still in my Christmas card making frame of mind will it ever end I ask myself. The following cards are nearly all the same stamp but the different papers give them a different look.

Some of cards are not quite finished, they still need a sentiment or additional embellishment.

I finished most of the cards last Tuesday evening I went to a new craft club run by the lovely Laura, which was held at The Lincoln Imp Pub .  We decided to give the December club a miss, as it is a busy month for us all. The next club night is Tuesday the 31st January 2012.

See you soon.

Christmas Again

Hello All

I hope you are all well its a cold dreary morning here in Lincoln and we are only just starting the Autumn/Winter months. How will we all survive these next few months. The great light in our life is crafting what would we all do without it.

Here is my latest Christmas card.

This is a free stamp my friend got in a magazine and I thinks the little angel is cute. I stamped him three time a a piece of white card and then twice on a second piece of card. I used my promarkers to add a little colour to the robes, hair and wings. I used distressing inks around the edge of the image then added some stickles to their wings. I then cut out two of the angels then place them between the three on the other piece of card. I curled up the wings of the two extra angels and add some glossy accents to the wings to stiffen them a little. The red label is a embossing folder that says Merry Christmas but you can not read it very well from the picture.

Bye for now.

Christmas

Hi All

I hope you are all well on this cold bleak day.

Yesterday I attended a class at Let's Create in Conningsby Jo Channon was the tutor and we made the following medallion cards.

The next one I finish at home as I was tired at class and was about to loose my patience with it. I left the backing card at class by mistake, my finished card is now different as I used card from my stash. I also added a little doily and I think it adds a little something extra to the card.

The next one is my favorite card of the day unfortunately the picture does not do do the card justice.

These cards will be sent to special people in my life and I hope they like them as much as I do. Thanks for all your help Jo.

Hi All

Here we go again more Christmas cards. I seam to have got into quite a rhythm with them but I must get back to making some more birthday cards.

I have used my favorite little elf and coloured him with my pro-markers, then I used my x cut nesting dies which I bought while I was on holiday in Cornwall.

I have used the dies again on this card and my little lily of the valley stamp.

see you all soon.

Hi All

I hope you all enjoyed the sunshine today. I spent the afternoon in my Garden room listening to an audio book and watched Hugh cutting the lawn Its nice to enjoy little things that make you happy.

Retirement is good fun to be able to do what you want when you want. Hugh is now on his wind down to early retirement, he is working one week a month and hopes to finish work in December.

Well back to the crafting world and some more Christmas card.

I have fallen in love with this little elf he is so cute. The cards look the same but his clothes are colored differently.

See you soon.

Hi All

Well I have been busy making some Christmas cards as I do not want to leave them all till the last minute. This one is made from a papermainia embossing folder.

I have just embossed some miri card and added a few bits of bling and hey presto you have a quick and easy card. Sorry this picture does not do the card justice and this is why.

We have a surprise a reflection of me in the background, very reflective miri card.

Now for my next embossed card.

This is the same idea but a different folder I think it belonged to my friend Fi. Nice pretty card  see you all soon.

Monday, 15 August 2011

Hi All

I have been very busy today and only made one card. My Nephew is getting married on Friday. The wedding service will be small, immediate family only, and then everyone will be meeting up at night for the evening reception. I saw a wedding card in one of my local craft shop and I liked it so much I wanted to replicate the layout with a few small changes and this is what I came up with.

Unfortunately the picture does not do the card justice, it is quite a blingey card just my style  as many of my friends will know.

Background - Kanban card
Label - Cricut Lacy labels
Flowers -Cricut walk in my garden
Marianne swirls
White rectangle Cuttlebug folder
And there you have it a very pretty card and I am so pleased with it.

Hi All

Two post in one week how good is that from me. I made the following card for my Niece.

I just love this technique I learned recently at my craft club . You stamp your image with versamark, then use white embossing power and your heat gun. I then used my distressing inks and finished with a couple of flowers and a happy birthday topper, which I made myself. I bet you are all very envious of my crafting skills.

Hi All

I have made another card this time for my brother-in-law Nev. He is a bit of a gardener and loves to grow veg in his greenhouse so I thought this card would be appropriate.

I used versermark for the stamp,  then black embossing powder I did this twice, cut out the  watering can and butterfly then mounted it on top of the first stamp. I used my promarkers on the flowers and butterfly. I mounted the image on green mirri board and paper.

Hi everyone I hope you are all happy and feeling well on this miserable day. I don't know if you got much sleep last night, it was warn in bed  even with the fan on all night. I did not get a good nights sleep. I made the following card for my sister-in-law who sadly lost her Father recently. I'm not much into sympathy cards so I thought a nice thinking of you card would be much more suitable and here it is.

I was pleased with the outcome and I hope the family like it also.

Hi everyone what a miserable day we are having in Lincoln today. Its not raining for a change but it looks miserable out there, I shall stay in the study today and maybe get into my craft room later for a play.
We have been invited to my friends 60th Birthday party so I thought I would make my own acceptance card. Here is my  effort.

I just love these crinklies stamps and I must admit as time goes on and I get older I feel they reflect my image more and more.

Hi All

Two posts in one week I must have nothing to do. Well I came across four coloured images as I was tidying my desk and thought these are too pretty to leave lying around I would therefore turn them into four quick cards all with the same theme.

Four cards ready for when I have my big sale.

See you soon.

Saturday, 9 July 2011

Hi All

I have finally taken pictures of the Birthday cards my crafting buddies sent me.

Sue and Denise

Carol and Willy

Wendy and Fiona

Pauline and Margaret

Gina

My friends are so talented didn't I get some lovely cards what a lucky lady I am.

It was also my wedding anniversary 39 years and as my Hugh says you get less time for murder, he is so romantic and this was his card.

Just love the image I think it was a free digi the small tags should have been the same colour but the small square tag was the third attempt. Then I pick up the wrong distressing ink and hey presto another mistake. So I edged the stamp image with the same ink and there you have it a mistake corrected or so I think.

See you soon.

Hi All
Today has been another sunny day and  this afternoon I have been sat in my garden room crafting. I was also listening to my Rebus audio book. A nice afternoon was had by all.

And this is what I produced.

And the second design.

I was very pleased with how both cards turned out.

Stamps by Little Claire Design coloured with my promarkers.

These stamps also had a window design and all the little stamps fit inside it.This will be used in my next card something for you all to look forward,  which should be made and posted next.

Bye for now

Wednesday, 1 June 2011

Hi All

Here we go again this card was made for my friend Denise's birthday. Sorry the colours look a little washed out but my picture is not very good.

I like this digi stamp the young girl is a little old fashioned but the colours used on the card bring her bang up to date.

As usual I am not sure where the paper came from. I used a free digi stamp, I am a crafty crafter. The lace was from the Newark market I always have a rummage in the off cuts box. The flowers well your guess is as good as mine.

See you all soon.

Hi All

I needed to make a special fun card for my brother- in- laws 60th Birthday and I came up with the following card. Initially I matted and layered the images onto three shapes I had cut on my cricut machine. Unfortunately my husband thought that this was a little fussy so I cut the layers  down to two, I must agree that they looked much better. I wanted the card to take him through stages of his life so the first one was of a young boy.

Image was a free digi
Kanban Card
Papermania paper
Coloured with promarkers

The second Image was of a young man.

Stamp free digi image.

The final part of the card was for an old man and the letters were cut out on my cricut machine, and  I used the storybook cartridge.

As you can see I changed the heading on the card from old man to old G?? not very nice but it will make him laugh.
Well that it for tonight.

Hi All

I forgot to post this picture of me at the Harrogate flower show. I went with Hugh and we both had a great day out.

This is just one of the many flower displays on show. We spent the whole day at the show and I was exhausted at the end but the day was well worth the effort.

Monday, 2 May 2011

Here we go for my second posting today a special little Bear.

I think he is so cute and the colours all match so well.  I shall have great pleasure in producing him again.
The bear was a free digi stamp and I used my pro-markers to colour  him. So there you go Pauline a second posting just for you.
Hi All

I went to my cricut club on Saturday and had a most enjoyable day cutting out background from my friend Fiona's cricut cartridge paper lace I used it as a background for one of my cards and here it is.

My Friend Pauline was moaning at me for not posting to my blog more often so just for her I will post two cards today.

magnolia stamp
Paper Lace background
Lacey labels fancy shape.
Hope you all like it.

Wednesday, 13 April 2011

Hi All

Here I am  for another posting, I have been busy making a card for my Niece for her birthday she is a great dog lover and so I needed to incorporate a dog image into my design.

I am taking my own pictures now and I am please with the way they are turning out maybe I can become a professional photographer or maybe not watch this space.

As you can see I made an easel card with  twisted sides and I am happy with the outcome. The dog images are not the same as her pet but I am sure she will like it. That's it for now short and sweet, see you soon.

The images are Papermania.

St Patrick's Day

Hi All

Well this is great two posts in one week well done me. I have been making a few card but the Hubby had the camera in his car. I pinched it the other night and took a few photos of my cards ready for future blog postings

It is St Patrick day tomorrow and I made the following card for my Husband Hugh.

Again I have used a free digi stamp which I coloured with my pro markers. The paper was given to me by my friend Carol who spoilt me rotten by giving me a wad of patterned paper. Loved all the papers and thanks thanks thanks Carol. I used my nestabilities to cut out the stamp  and added glossy accent to the mushroom, flowers and leprechaun's suit. Just need to add a sentiment to the front of the card and it is finished.

Sisters Birthday And Memories

I made the following card for my Sisters birthday. Last year she complained because her birthday card was boring compared to one I made for another member of the family. I think it was the style of the card she liked so much. So this year she has an easel card the style she so much admired.  So here's hoping I have it right this year.

The picture I used is a free digi stamp from the web. It remind me so much of her as a child my Mother used to style our hair like this which is a pony tail on the top of your head tied up with a ribbon. I hope she can see herself in the image. Unfortunately she had almost white hair at the time and I could not replicate this in the stamped image. I still remember the photograph of the three sisters stood together all holding their dolls.

Wednesday, 2 February 2011

Today I need to update my blog. The following card was made for my friend Fi’s Birthday. I had a catastrophe with the original card I made for her, I left a baby wipe on my desk but unfortunately it was touching the card, when I came back what a mess, I needed to make a new card one quickly. And here it is.
Matida stamp
Paper Oriental by Papermania.

My next card is for my Cricut Club challenge. We were tasked by Fi to make a card with a branch as the theme and this is my interpretation.

The cartridge I used is Cindy Loo for the bird and tree branches and was lent to me by my friend Denise thanks very much.
The card base is from Storybook.

Sunday, 23 January 2011

Hi All
Sorry I have taken so long to post to my blog again but I have been having problems photographing my cards, now I have got it cracked.
I made the following card for my sister birthday and I am happy with how it turned out.

I pinched the idea for the card from a friend of mine she was making the card at a craft club I attend thanks Carol.

The owls are made by Kanban and the paper is Woodland folk by Papermania

The Stamp are my Woodland folk from Papermania and cut out with the Nestabilities my sister won at the craft club.  She is a bead maker so I kept them for myself and used them for first time on her card thanks Barb.

My final picture shows the insert I made for the card and the verse came from a free verse site on the web thanks to them. See you soon.
