Hi All

Its a long time since I last posted but lets hope I can keep it up for a while.

I have not been making many cards lately as my Rheumatoid Arthritis is painful at the moment and sometimes it is difficult to move my hands. Lets hope I get it fixed soon.

Here is a card I created for my Nephew who is a big Everton fan.

I think I obtained  the image off the net somewhere. I coloured it with my promarkers in the club colours. Lets hope he likes it.

Next is a card I did for my sister who is very old today, ( I hope she does not see this) Happy Birthday Maureen.

Again the image is from the net and coloured with my promarkers. As for the paper and coloured card where are they from you may ask, your guess is as good as mine.

Thats it for now take care all.

Hi All

Sorry I have not posted for a long time but I now have some cards ready for posting

This card was for my nephew who loves to play the banjo and tries to sing. I downloaded this image from the net and was able to make an appropriate card for him. I am sure it made him laugh.

This card was for my brother who was sixty five this year I always find cards difficult to make for men.Sorry the picture is not very good.

This card was for my husband who  became a pensioner this year. I rub this in a bit as I still have a few years to go. We have just invested in a static caravan and he intends to get fit and walk along the beach and  ride his bike so I thought I would add a nice old bike and car to his card just to match my old man.

The final card is for our newest Great Nephew Rory Gerard Mulholland. I took the picture before I added his name to it.

I also made this one just in case he was a girl.

Well that's it for now see you soon

Hi All

Well what a great wedding we had and the weather was lovely but it was a little too warm. My Niece and new Nephew had a great day and had big grins on their faces all day. And here they are.

Don't they look so happy, unfortunately the day was over all too quickly and before we realised it was time to go home. We now have many happy memories to look back on.

This card is for my Niece to give to her Mum and Dad to say thank you for all they had done.

I forgot to take a picture of the wedding card I made my memory definitely is getting worse with age.
See you soon.

Hi All

Well here it is the last of the countdown card for my Niece the wedding is this Saturday. I can not believe it has come so quickly and I am sure it will pass as quick.

I now see the paper over the  border is not quite centred but it would not be one of my cards if it was perfect.

The verse was to give her a little advice from her old Auntie Aud who has been married for 40years so I think I have the right to give a little advice.

Now to work on the wedding card.

see you soon.

Hi All

Here we go again I have been able to make an exploding box card for my niece for her two week countdown card. Not sure how I have had the time to make the card as I have been glued to the TV watching the Olympic what a show I have enjoyed the games so much.

This is my card

I decided to make a exploding box for my  two weeks card. We were going to Nottingham for her final dress fitting so I was able to deliver it to her. The only problem I had was getting a little bride and groom for the centre of the card. I could not get one so I cut one out on my cricut in white and then black stuck them together and made it stand up. I think it looks good.

See you soon

Hi There

Well here we go another week and another card. This is my four week countdown card for my Niece.

I know she liked this card and on the final page I added a picture of the future bride and groom.
We went to the church today, where the wedding is being held, my husband is going to do a reading  and we needed to know what was expected of him.

Its now three weeks to the wedding but unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the card.
See you soon.

Hi All

I hope you are all well and have not experienced any flooding but if the forecast is correct the weather should be changing any time soon. Let's hope we are in for some sunshine any time soon.
Here is the card I made for my Niece who had five weeks to her wedding, now it is almost 4 but you have to wait for that card.

It was a 2 hour class and she kept us busy but we all enjoyed it.

See you soon.

Hi All

Well haven't we had some bad weather rain, rain and more rain. We went to the Air show last Saturday and had a great day, but it  turned cold and then we had some rain' but what's new. After that we spent a few days in Norfolk and hay Ho the sun came out for two days but on the way home it rained again.

So back to my card making I have made another countdown card for my Niece.

This was a very simply card but I only had a couple of hours before I needed to get it in the post. The picture is not too great but I was pleased with the finished card.

See you soon

Hi All

Sorry I have not blogged for a while but I have no excuse so I won't waffle on.
I made the following cards for my Niece who is getting married in 9 weeks time and I decided to send a countdown card to her each week until the big day

I cut the heart on my cricut and then cut the word weeks and 9's on the cricut using the design studio, then added some swirl from my cheery lynn die. The picture is not so great but not to worry.
Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of her eight week card but the following is her 7 week card.

I cut the heart using my design studio by using a six by six square which then centred the heart in the middle of the  card. I taped the ribbon to the back of the card and then covered this with a second piece of card to hide the mess. Used my cricut to cut the words weeks and seven. Finally I used my memory box die cut for the stars and swirls.

Well that's it for now see you in a few weeks or days not sure which it will be.

Hi All
Well I am back again its a while since my last posting and here are some card that I made at Andrea's  class at Angel Art. We do a lot of stamping and technique work which I love. This was the first time I have done any water colouring and I shall try it again in the future. I normally stick to my well loved pro-markers. I love Andrea's work her style is different to mine and she gives me ideas for the future.

My pictures are not brilliant and they really do not do justice to my cards but I had a most enjoyable day. I have been attending the stamp of the month class three times now and apart from enjoying ourselves we get to take the stamps home with us. What a great idea.

I also made the following card for my Niece to be,

I have made this card before but this time I added her photograph to the centre of the card which just added another personal touch.

See you all soon

Hi All

I hope you are all keeping warm in this miserable cold weather how things have changed since the weekend. It was so lovely and warm here on Saturday in fact it was far  too warm in my sun room. So out came my patio chairs and the sun shade and there I was enjoying the sun for the rest of  afternoon. Life was bliss for us all here for the day in Lincoln.

So today it is chilly again so I decided to make a couple of cards with my new do-craft Michael Powell Stamps. I have always wanted to go to Tuscany in Italy so these stamps have become a bit of a favourite with me.

The pictures do not do justice to all my hard work. I did have a third stamp completed but my matting and layering proved to be a problem again so it ended up in the bin. I coloured the images with my pro markers which took a lot of time but I do enjoy colouring so much.

See you soon

Hi All

I hope you are all fit and well. I have had a great day today, I spent the morning ironing (not so great) and as it was sunny outside I went to sit in my summer house. It was very warm sat there in the sun  and I promptly fell asleep. Well I had a busy morning or anyway that is my excuse.

This week we had two babies in my circle of friend, a little girl here in Lincoln and a little boy over in Australia. So would you believe it with the beauty of the Internet we were able to view little Zac in his hospital bed. This was such a privilege to see him this way and I would like to thank Sue and Steve and Beth for allowing us this privilege. Little Lily was born in Lincoln and our friends Simon and Lorraine are her proud Grandparents. So I needed to make two Baby cards to congratulate the families.

I used papermania paper, my nesties to mount the digi stamp, and my cricut machine to cut out the letter.
See you soon.

Hi All

I hope all my friends have had a Happy Christmas and A Happy New Year.
Here's hoping we all have a great 2012 and beyond.

My final card for 2011 was a 50th Birthday card for my friend Carol. This is the card  I made for her.

I used my Cricut design studio and started with a circle then added the 50's and welded them to the circle. It
took some time to add them to the circle and my spacing is not perfect but I think it looked good. I  cut out a base shape to add the large flower shape to and added a Tim Holts rosette to finish off the topper. Then I added some ribbon and finished with a little message of Happy Birthday.

And there you go one pretty big card.

Thursday, 1 December 2011

Hi All

I hope you are all well, I am still in my Christmas card making frame of mind will it ever end I ask myself. The following cards are nearly all the same stamp but the different papers give them a different look.

Some of cards are not quite finished, they still need a sentiment or additional embellishment.

I finished most of the cards last Tuesday evening I went to a new craft club run by the lovely Laura, which was held at The Lincoln Imp Pub .  We decided to give the December club a miss, as it is a busy month for us all. The next club night is Tuesday the 31st January 2012.

See you soon.

Christmas Again

Hello All

I hope you are all well its a cold dreary morning here in Lincoln and we are only just starting the Autumn/Winter months. How will we all survive these next few months. The great light in our life is crafting what would we all do without it.

Here is my latest Christmas card.

This is a free stamp my friend got in a magazine and I thinks the little angel is cute. I stamped him three time a a piece of white card and then twice on a second piece of card. I used my promarkers to add a little colour to the robes, hair and wings. I used distressing inks around the edge of the image then added some stickles to their wings. I then cut out two of the angels then place them between the three on the other piece of card. I curled up the wings of the two extra angels and add some glossy accents to the wings to stiffen them a little. The red label is a embossing folder that says Merry Christmas but you can not read it very well from the picture.

Bye for now.

Christmas

Hi All

I hope you are all well on this cold bleak day.

Yesterday I attended a class at Let's Create in Conningsby Jo Channon was the tutor and we made the following medallion cards.

The next one I finish at home as I was tired at class and was about to loose my patience with it. I left the backing card at class by mistake, my finished card is now different as I used card from my stash. I also added a little doily and I think it adds a little something extra to the card.

The next one is my favorite card of the day unfortunately the picture does not do do the card justice.

These cards will be sent to special people in my life and I hope they like them as much as I do. Thanks for all your help Jo.

My third image is some stamps I picked up in a sale earlier this year.

Hi All

Here we go again more Christmas cards. I seam to have got into quite a rhythm with them but I must get back to making some more birthday cards.

I have used my favorite little elf and coloured him with my pro-markers, then I used my x cut nesting dies which I bought while I was on holiday in Cornwall.

I have used the dies again on this card and my little lily of the valley stamp.

see you all soon.

Hi All

I hope you all enjoyed the sunshine today. I spent the afternoon in my Garden room listening to an audio book and watched Hugh cutting the lawn Its nice to enjoy little things that make you happy.

Retirement is good fun to be able to do what you want when you want. Hugh is now on his wind down to early retirement, he is working one week a month and hopes to finish work in December.

Well back to the crafting world and some more Christmas card.

I have fallen in love with this little elf he is so cute. The cards look the same but his clothes are colored differently.

See you soon.

Hi All

Well I have been busy making some Christmas cards as I do not want to leave them all till the last minute. This one is made from a papermainia embossing folder.

I have just embossed some miri card and added a few bits of bling and hey presto you have a quick and easy card. Sorry this picture does not do the card justice and this is why.

We have a surprise a reflection of me in the background, very reflective miri card.

Now for my next embossed card.

This is the same idea but a different folder I think it belonged to my friend Fi. Nice pretty card  see you all soon.
