Hi All

I hope you are all keeping warm in this miserable cold weather how things have changed since the weekend. It was so lovely and warm here on Saturday in fact it was far  too warm in my sun room. So out came my patio chairs and the sun shade and there I was enjoying the sun for the rest of  afternoon. Life was bliss for us all here for the day in Lincoln.

So today it is chilly again so I decided to make a couple of cards with my new do-craft Michael Powell Stamps. I have always wanted to go to Tuscany in Italy so these stamps have become a bit of a favourite with me.

The pictures do not do justice to all my hard work. I did have a third stamp completed but my matting and layering proved to be a problem again so it ended up in the bin. I coloured the images with my pro markers which took a lot of time but I do enjoy colouring so much.

See you soon

Hi All

I hope you are all fit and well. I have had a great day today, I spent the morning ironing (not so great) and as it was sunny outside I went to sit in my summer house. It was very warm sat there in the sun  and I promptly fell asleep. Well I had a busy morning or anyway that is my excuse.

This week we had two babies in my circle of friend, a little girl here in Lincoln and a little boy over in Australia. So would you believe it with the beauty of the Internet we were able to view little Zac in his hospital bed. This was such a privilege to see him this way and I would like to thank Sue and Steve and Beth for allowing us this privilege. Little Lily was born in Lincoln and our friends Simon and Lorraine are her proud Grandparents. So I needed to make two Baby cards to congratulate the families.

I used papermania paper, my nesties to mount the digi stamp, and my cricut machine to cut out the letter.
See you soon.

Hi All

I hope all my friends have had a Happy Christmas and A Happy New Year.
Here's hoping we all have a great 2012 and beyond.

My final card for 2011 was a 50th Birthday card for my friend Carol. This is the card  I made for her.

I used my Cricut design studio and started with a circle then added the 50's and welded them to the circle. It
took some time to add them to the circle and my spacing is not perfect but I think it looked good. I  cut out a base shape to add the large flower shape to and added a Tim Holts rosette to finish off the topper. Then I added some ribbon and finished with a little message of Happy Birthday.

And there you go one pretty big card.

Hi All

I hope you are all well, I am still in my Christmas card making frame of mind will it ever end I ask myself. The following cards are nearly all the same stamp but the different papers give them a different look.

Some of cards are not quite finished, they still need a sentiment or additional embellishment.

I finished most of the cards last Tuesday evening I went to a new craft club run by the lovely Laura, which was held at The Lincoln Imp Pub .  We decided to give the December club a miss, as it is a busy month for us all. The next club night is Tuesday the 31st January 2012.

See you soon.

Christmas Again

Hello All

I hope you are all well its a cold dreary morning here in Lincoln and we are only just starting the Autumn/Winter months. How will we all survive these next few months. The great light in our life is crafting what would we all do without it.

Here is my latest Christmas card.

This is a free stamp my friend got in a magazine and I thinks the little angel is cute. I stamped him three time a a piece of white card and then twice on a second piece of card. I used my promarkers to add a little colour to the robes, hair and wings. I used distressing inks around the edge of the image then added some stickles to their wings. I then cut out two of the angels then place them between the three on the other piece of card. I curled up the wings of the two extra angels and add some glossy accents to the wings to stiffen them a little. The red label is a embossing folder that says Merry Christmas but you can not read it very well from the picture.

Bye for now.

Christmas

Hi All

I hope you are all well on this cold bleak day.

Yesterday I attended a class at Let's Create in Conningsby Jo Channon was the tutor and we made the following medallion cards.

The next one I finish at home as I was tired at class and was about to loose my patience with it. I left the backing card at class by mistake, my finished card is now different as I used card from my stash. I also added a little doily and I think it adds a little something extra to the card.

The next one is my favorite card of the day unfortunately the picture does not do do the card justice.

These cards will be sent to special people in my life and I hope they like them as much as I do. Thanks for all your help Jo.
